We Must Work Hard To Not Emulate Worldly Character
How can we remain close to God, despite the opposite focus of our world? How can we remain close to Him and true to His will despite the challenges and the tendency to be like the world and not like God? When the world continually goes in opposite directions, and contrary to God’s word, how can we remain true to His word?
That in itself is a tricky and difficult proposition. One that creates tremendous challenges for us on a daily basis. There are no easy answers. But what we must be on guard for increasingly in not falling into the trap of being like the world and in drifting away from the teaching of the Bible. Within its pages is the Gold standard of God’s will. The Bible says nothing in this world is of God. We must be constantly reminded of this and note that when we change our views to pacify worldly beliefs, we are in effect denying God in the process.
Secular philosophy and thoughts often tell us it is alright to do this, That a loving God will accept behavior that is contrary to God’s word. It is denying God and His will and to the work that the Lord Jesus did for us on Calvary. We must be ever mindful of this and on Guard so that we will always reflect the standards and beliefs of God, despite the false assurances of the world.
