Know God’s Word and Apply It To You Life
In order to grow in God’s word we need to do more. Yes work is required
to get the full benefits of the God’s word. “But be doers of the word
and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves….. he who looks into the
perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful
hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he
does.” (James 1:22, 25).
You need to study God’s word and seek
ways to apply it to your life. Practice helps you to solidify the
impact of God’s word in your life. With repetition it becomes a viable
and power force which can help you to obey his word consistently.
Keep
score. Record you victories, so that you will have a record of your
success and you will begin to see the powerful force of the word of God
in your life.
A Turned On Church In An Up Tight World
Through it All. I learned to trust in Jesus, I learned to depend upon his word. We live in an age of poverty, terrorism, world hunger, energy sources. We live in a problematic society. An uptight world. We live in a society, where people are turned on to cults, meditation. We are a dysfunctional society. We are uptight and are faced with difficult circumstances.
These are days when men call good evil and evil good. When men called truth error and error truth. These are days when we are marked by hatred in a world torn by conflict. These are days when profits are more important than people. We are concerned about the kind of car a man drives, than in the man who drives the car. These are days when men turn away from God’s world. When modern minds are being mesmerized by secular thoughts. Some believe there is no life after death.
But God through his Son and Our Savior Jesus Christ trumps all the above. You need an anchor to know that Jesus Says, “Take my yoke upon you and I will give your rest”. Bring your burden to me and I will take them. You see Jesus gave his life that day on Calvary, so that we could overcome the world. So that we can take hold of the world and make away and secure God’s Word here on earth.
A turned on Church will see the agony of a struggling populace. A turned on church will see those who are sick and come to their aid. A turned on church will have the love of Christ. A turned on Church will have a love for God Almighty. A turned on church will have the ability to provide for the masses and introduce the world to the Word of God.
This world is not a good world. But Jesus warned us about its traps and snares. He warned us about the life we will be faced with. He told us it would not be easy. But he also told us, there is nothing you cannot overcome without the help of the Lord. The Joy of My Lord is my strength.
We need to make sure that we have a turned on Church. Not just in a physical building, but the turned on church, the Body of Christ is within you. We are the Church. We can be in tuned to God’s word, by living his will to bring others to the Body of Christ. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
Do you believe that? Do You believe that Jesus Can lead you through dark and tearful times. Do you believe that Jesus can open up doors for you. Do you believe that Jesus, is the way, the truth, and the light? Do You believe that Jesus is your Savior and that he died on that Day on Calvary to give your eternal Salvation,to give you peace, to give you forgiveness of sins, and to heal your diseases? If You believe you will have eternal life and there is nothing on this earth that can overcome you. Because you have the power of Jesus in you and through you along with the Holy Spirit.
If you do not have the Holy Spirit in you, ask Jesus to come into your life today. Give yourself the ammunition you will need to fight this secular world, through Christ. Through Jesus you can have eternal life. It is His gift of grace to you.
Jesus Will Judge This Fallen World
The problem with our world is that we have so many people, who let their perceived intellect get in the way of knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That is their considerable IQ’s have lead them to believe too deeply in themselves. They have become egotistical and eventually deny Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, this along with the ever present reality that we live in a fallen world, tells us that the world we live in evil and influenced by satan.
This world that we live in is filled with evil. A question was raised by Rick Warren, Pastor of Saddleback Church, at his recent Civil Forum; Is there evil in the world and he suggested three ways to deal with it? The reality is evil is everywhere. If it is in the world and the world is inherently evil. There is only one way to defeat evil and that is through the shield of faith. The Bible says we must Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the devil’s strategies. That is what we are confronted with in this world.
No political directive. No declared war will defeat evil. Evil will be defeated once and for all, when Jesus Christ returns and all of us will ultimately be judged at the Judgement seat of the Lord. In the meantime we must be sure we keep ourselves in fighting trim to resist the devil’s enlisted demons who are all around us. In the meantime, we must keep ourselves in fighting trim with the shield of Faith. We must take authority through Christ to defeat the devil and evilness on this earth.
